RWE is a reliable provider of gas and electricity. It serves more than 44 million of customers all over Europe, of whom almost 2.1 million in the Czech Republic.

RWE is one of Europe’s five leading electricity and gas companies. It is active in the production, trading, transmission and supply of electricity and gas. More than 70,000 employees provide electricity to 16 million customers and gas to approximately 8 million customers.
In fiscal year 2009, RWE recorded a profit of about €48 billion.

RWE reacts to changes in the customers’ needs and offers new products in the area of electricity, gas and energy efficiency to households, business and industry. Furthermore, another key area of interest is electric cars.

RWE helping others
Companies of the RWE Group belong to one of the most important partners and donators in the Czech Republic. The charitable activity of RWE primarily includes helping children, seniors and the handicapped. The company provides this support mainly through non-profit organizations, reputable fundraising companies and recently also through the socially responsible project Charitky.
